How do I know if Medical Day Care is for me?

Are you having trouble managing your medication? Do you have a hard time getting around your apartment? Are you finding yourself in the emergency room or your doctor’s office too often? Have you lost most of your social life? If the answer to any of the above questions is “yes” then this center is for you.

Can my wife come every day?

The centers are open 6 days a week Sunday through Friday. As a Medicaid beneficiary you can come up to 5 days a week. A client on a state or county waiver such as MLTSS, TBI, JACC etc. can attend based on what is available through their case manager. A Private Pay client may attend every day.

What if I can’t afford it?

The center is very affordable due to its flexible fee schedule. We can customize a weekly schedule for our clients based on a fixed income amount. Please feel free to call the center for further details. In addition, our service is covered by long term care insurance, state and county waivers, VA and Medicaid.

How do I know if I am eligible for government assistance?

Please call our social workers and they will educate you on what is available to you.

How do I know if I qualify for Medicaid?

If you are 65 or older or your income is below $903 a month as a single or $1215 a month as a couple. Please call our center and we will help you.

How will Dad cope when he comes home from the Medical Day Care center?

Our staff can assist family members in setting up proper home care arrangements for our clients.

Will my insurance cover this?

Coverage varies by plan. There are local grants available such as a Care Giver’s grant from the Alzheimer’s Association. Many long term care insurance companies cover this service as well. Please call the center for further details.

Can you accommodate specialized meals and diets?

Yes. We can accommodate vegetarian, kosher and many other restrictive diets.

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation is available to all of our clients from their homes to the center, recreational outings and for all doctors appointments.

Does my mother have to stay all day?

No. The center is open from 8:00 am to 4 pm on Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday– Thursday and from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday. Mom would need to stay for a minimum of five hours. Please call us to find out how we can customize a schedule that works for you.

Can my husband visit for the day?

How do I know if my mom will enjoy attending the center?
